Our story
How Nova Prime started
Tony grew up watching his parents build a life here from nothing, and somewhere in that he picked up the idea that he wanted to build something of his own.
It took him a while to find it. He tried a few things that did not work. Some of them cost him money, some of them cost him a couple of years, and every one of them taught him something about what he actually wanted out of a day's work. He wanted to finish something. He wanted to hand it over and have the person on the other end be genuinely glad he showed up.
Painting turned out to be that. You walk into a room that has been tired for a decade, you spend a few days on it, and you walk out and the whole house feels different. The homeowner sees it the second they come through the door. There is no arguing with the result and no way to fake it, which is exactly the kind of work Tony had been looking for.
He started Nova Prime Painting in 2021 and has kept it deliberately narrow ever since: interiors, homes, 25 miles out of Lorton. No exteriors, no office buildings, no chasing every job that comes up. One trade, done properly, close enough to home that he still runs into his customers at the grocery store.
That is also why the prep takes as long as it does. The failures taught him that shortcuts always come back around, usually in front of the person who trusted you. So the patching gets done, the caulk goes on before the finish coat, and nobody packs up until you have walked the rooms yourself and said you are happy.

The same four steps, every job

Free in-home quote
We walk the rooms with you, talk through colors and finishes, and measure what is actually there. You get a written price with the scope spelled out, not a guess over the phone.

Protect and prep
Furniture gets moved and covered, floors get protected, and surfaces get patched, caulked, sanded, and primed. Prep is most of the job, and it is the part that decides how the finish looks two years from now.

Paint
Clean cut lines, even coverage, and the right number of coats for the color you picked. We tidy the work area at the end of every day, because you still live there while we work.

Walk it together
We walk every room with you before we pack up. Anything you flag gets fixed on the spot. The job is not finished until you say it is.
